Work / territories
This room brings together painting, drawing, digital creation and generative systems. Each body of work unfolds as an independent series through image, process and material.
ENALC · PRIVATE COLLECTION
Enrique Alcides donated People for the charity exhibition and auction, where it was exhibited and sold. It is now held in a private collection.
Watercolour and mixed media
ENALC · ARTWORK ARCHIVE
The work emerges from fragments of advertisements stripped from city walls. Enrique Alcides retrieves these superimposed layers, brings them into the studio, intervenes in the material through painting and reworks the result digitally. The wall functions simultaneously as archive, support and collective memory.
A watercolour inspired by a memory of Paloma Picasso in a 1980s perfume advertisement. The piece appeared in one of the artist’s group exhibitions.
Repetition · difference · visual populations
These series examine how an image can remain recognisable while colour, rhythm and internal structure keep changing.
The project begins with a little monster Enrique Alcides drew as a child while living in Western Sahara. Rediscovered and re-signified in adulthood, it was digitised, and the first recovered originals were coloured by hand. A generative system then extended the same figure into a population of variations, exploring how repetition can preserve an identity while difference continually unsettles it. Initially conceived as a possible NFT series, the project may later give movement to the little monsters through animation.
Thirty variations explore a six-zone colour system. Background, long hair, long tie, body fur, belly and eyes/iris change independently, allowing the same figure to hold multiple chromatic identities.
A deterministic system independently recombines the colours of the background, balloon, string, hair, tie/collar and body, while preserving the original figure.
A cellular field repeats without becoming identical. Colour and density move across the same organic structure, turning a shared image into distinct states.
Digital image · ongoing research
A growing constellation of altered images, fractured portraits, colour fields and working records, organised here by visual affinity.

Moving image · generative digital creation
Two generative variations construct the face as a territory of light, impulse and drift. The pieces stem from a single source image and explore different behaviours through code.
The face ceases to be a portrait and becomes a nervous cartography. Particles travel along its lines like impulses; eyes, cheeks and lips pulse as an almost imperceptible breath keeps the image alive.
Identity appears as a gravitational field. Planes of depth, liquid neon and drifting nebulae position the eyes and mouth as centres of attraction within a presence that never fully settles.
A growing survey of canvases, works on paper and mixed media, organised as material constellations rather than a single chronology.
